What this website does not do
This website sets no cookies, embeds no third-party fonts, scripts or content, uses no analytics or tracking services and contains no forms. No accounts are created.
Economy calculator
The economy calculator at /calculator/ runs entirely in your browser. It keeps your inputs (game values with no personal reference) in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and in the page address, so that they are still there on your next visit and in shared links; they reach us only as part of the address when the page loads (see server logs). “Reset” or clearing the site data removes them. Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.
Game statistics
If you agree in the game LINEBORN, the game sends us a report on how each play session went: which units and buildings were built and lost, damage and kills per unit type, completed research, production per item, how the attack waves went, time played at each game speed, and coarse performance data (graphics card model, resolution, graphics quality, frame times). The report also contains the game version, operating system, game language, the mods in use and two randomly generated identifiers, one for the installation and one for the saved game. Your name, Steam account, email address and saved games are not sent.
The sole purpose is tuning the game's balance and performance. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Without your consent the game sends nothing. You can withdraw consent at any time in the game settings; processing carried out until then remains lawful.
Cloudflare receives the reports (see “Hosting and server logs”) and stores them in storage located in the EU (Cloudflare R2). In doing so Cloudflare technically processes your IP address; we do not store it with the reports. Reports are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for tuning, at the latest two years after receipt.
Your installation identifier is shown in the game settings. Send it to the address above and we will delete every report carrying it.
Hosting and server logs
The website is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When a page is requested, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data, including the IP address, date and time, the address requested, and details of the browser and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in secure and uninterrupted delivery. Cloudflare acts as a processor; processing may also take place outside the EU, safeguarded by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Linked services
The pages link to Discord, Buy Me a Coffee, itch.io and to profiles on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Bluesky and X. These links are only requested when clicked; from then on only the respective provider's privacy policy applies. We have no influence over their processing.
Email contact
If you write to the address above, we process your details to answer your enquiry, legal basis Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. Messages are deleted once they are no longer needed. The address above is forwarded to a private mailbox via Cloudflare Email Routing.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, usually the authority where you live or where we are established: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, datenschutz-berlin.de.
